“Comprehensive Cancer Care close to home”

Birth of Optimus Oncology

Optimus Oncology Pvt. Ltd, founded in September 2016 by 6 well-known like minded Oncologists from different cities and working at different hospitals having one thing in common that all were trained at prestigious Tata Memorial Hospital Mumbai which is well known premier Institute for cancer care, research and education with highest volume of oncology patients.  This group believes in propagation of evidence based oncology and is concerned about quality of life issues of cancer patients.

Being in the field of cancer for nearly 10 years and having seen the plight of rural patients who have to leave the comforts of their home and society and travel to cities for investigations and treatments made us wonder why some people face such unfair and adverse situations. Apart from being a psychological, social and financial burden, cancer burdens the patients living in rural areas additionally, who have to travel sometimes up to 1000 km to receive basic diagnosis and treatment. Optimus Oncology (Optimus meaning “very good or best”) is the baby born out of this thought. This start up aims to cater to cancer patients of rural India wherein they receive the current modern standards of care in diagnosis and treatment.

OUR VISION

We at Optimus wish to set up cancer care centers providing facilities for diagnosis and treatment of cancer. These centers will have modern infrastructure and trained personnel to provide radiation, medical and surgical oncology at sensitive and competitive prices. While being accessible to them, the priority will be to optimize patient outcomes with stringent patient safety protocols.

Our model is to set up multiple mini-hubs wherein comprehensive services will be available at each of the centres and each will be connected by a network with shared clinical and work flow management. In this endeavor, we plan to partner with local hospitals and physicians with strong roots to the local community to deliver comprehensive cancer care services to people close to their homes.
